On Tuesday afternoon one of our sabs with the help of local monitors went to keep an eye on the newly amalgamated Dart Vale, South Pool and Modbury Harriers.
They met at the popular wedding venue Shilstone Manor. Hounds were in and out of cry in the valleys and copses surrounding the meet, but with such few numbers it was difficult to intervene and we cannot be sure there were no kills.
Huntsman Mathew Hickmott was certainly letting his hounds hunt foxes and not trails…equipped terriermen were out too. We are keen to visit this hunt again during the season with more sabs!
