Yesterday Eggesford Hunt tried to return to Middlecott, a meet on the edge of Ingleigh Green where we caught them attempting to bolt a fox from a badger sett last week.
We followed the hound van to the edge of Winkleigh and spotted several hunt followers circling the area. However, with sabs around, the hunt instead went to Ellmead, Folly Gate. We had a small team of foot sabs on the ground and also followed proceedings via drone. We filmed some pretty blatant illegal hunting, with foxes being flushed from the valley and hounds being hunted on by huntsman Jason Marles.
The foxes we saw got away and the hunt packed up by 9am. Thank you to the people who sent us tipoffs yesterday. It was extremely helpful.
