The first horseback cubbing meet of the season was due to take place this morning at South Farm, Ashreigney.
Sabs were on hand to ensure that no hunting took place. Instead, they went for a 40 minute ride around the lanes and then returned to the kennels.
Fortunately, a little birdie told us the hunt were planning to try their luck again in the afternoon.
We monitored proceedings via drone while foot sabs moved in and rated hounds out of the valley when they went into cry, forcing the hunt to pack up once again.
